EcoWater: seriously still in business??
Ecowater Systems
They send a card "welcoming" you to the neighborhood claiming that they have a parcel for you. It's really a sales pitch to come to test your water.
Well the sales rep says that he does not have cards and they are supposed to give you a gift certificate. We would have to drive over an hour to go pick it up!!!!!! It's a scam. They charge a monthly fee for a water softener that costs more over the 5 years then putting in a reverse osmosis system for the entire house.
You could drink the water out of your toilet with reverse osmosis but with a water softener you would still need to purify the drinking water. SCAM!!!!!!

Wher 12 Leaks
Manifold on the Wher 12 leaks. EcoWater Systems expertly denies or delays consumer claims.
I contacted Lowes and Whirlpool distributors of EcoWater Reverse Osmosis System Wher 12 but they have not gotten back to me yet. The Wher 12 design has been changed to the Wher 25 to mitigate the problems, however, when consumer approaches EcoWater Systems, they expertly deny or delay the claims process and consumers are left holding the bag.
I contacted EcoWater Systems and they still have not paid the claim, it has been over 6 months of delays, lies, convient postures at the consumer's expense, denials, hours on hold, threats and just basic harrassment of the consumer to once again deny or delay the claim.
Beware Bueno Company and its free gift
Just had a disastrous meeting with agent from Eco Water of Boone Trail, Fayetteville, NC. The representative (Anita) came out to show us about the hardness of our water.
The prize was a $25 gift certificate for a local restaurant. The first thing she did was take apart our brand new kitchen facet head--and then let lose the extended hose from the inside of the faucet. To say that I was upset was an understatement. We called her boss (Jewels) who said that they could try and get a plumber tonight or tomorrow, and that the agent would have to pay.
(So what that we wouldn't have the kitchen sink to use.) Well, my husband and I fixed the sink finally, and Jewels asked me if I always get this upset over everything. No, just when an *** comes into my three week old home and takes apart something that she has no idea what she is working with. Then, yes, then I get really upset. Avoid Eco Water and Bueno invitations.
BAD BUSINESS!
Buyer Beware
We recently bought a home with an Eco Water Softening System installed. The home is 3 years old.
We also happen to know the sellers. We've had 3 service calls, one to replace the resin, all of the calls are related to leaks. We walk in the garage door and the floor is flooded.
We contacted the old owners and they said they bought the 'top of the line' system with patented life-time resin warranty.
After reading the warranty,I realized the company touts the superiority of their products but does not stand behind them in any way. The warranty expressly states the warranty is only in effect to the 'original' owner of the home. No warranty conveys to the new owner. This is not a true product warranty.
I own a small business and we sell prodcuts that are warrantied to the home where the product is originally placed, not to the person that purchased them.
The technician came out to our home and said that resin in our area due to hard water typically lasts 4 years.
Sadly, this company is not intersted in customer service nor representing themselves in an honest and fair manner to consumers. Buy from a company during these trying times that at least represents themselves with some integrity.
That's Life
GE,Ecowater,Home Depot sell inferior water treatment devices
Purchased water treatment device from Home Depot with GE logo on it but made by Ecowater. It failed after 110 days so returning it was not available after 90 days.
Called GE and they referred me to Ecowater of Ocala,FL who came out and determined that the board was bad.Had to pay $79.for service call and wait 10 days for GE to send part to Ecowater. They returned with wrong board but it made machine run.Waited 12 days for correct board but it failed to recharge and they ordered new board which came in 31 days and was told board was ok but motor was bad. I paid 2 $79.service charges and $125. for labor?
Had to fax paperwork to GE for reimbursement and another 10 days for check.I am now waiting for Ecowater to return with motor ordered 4/15 and they first came on 2/4. Buyer Beware!
Promise gifts but don't deliver
My husband entered a drawing at a home show for a truck. That's how this company got our information.
Then they contacted us and promised 8 free movie tickets for allowing them into our home to perform a water test. The salesman was in our home for a couple of hours. As others have said, he claimed he did not have the free gift movie tickets with him but promised they would come in the mail. It's been a couple of months.
The movie tickets have not arrived.
He claimed he was the son of the company owner.
Ecowater SD 518
This water softener is not any better than the Whirlpool that you can buy at Lowe's. I've had both.
The only difference is that the Lowe's is whole lot less expensive. If you are going with Eco Water do not buy the entry level water softener. Either upgrade or go with the Whirlpool. The salesman himself admitted that it is about the same quality.
When I asked him then why purchase Ecowater he said it will require less maintenance. That is true so far (but have had for less than 2 years). It either pushes out way too much salt or barely any.
Adjusting the level does not help. This is strictly my opinion.

Just curious was this system installed by Advanced Aqua solutions?
I do not see what the problem is.Are you afraid to ask your mother-in-law for the REFUND that she recieved.Your mother-in-law wrote the check for the claim right. What make's you feel like the check belong's to you.The refund belong's to whom ever filed the claim and Also to who wrote the check.Sound's like you are trying to pull the wool over these people's eye's.Honestly i do not blame your mother-in-law,I would keep the refund to since she had to write the check in the first place.
From my understanding system owners paid ( wrote the check) to fix the problem. Not mother- in- law.
She was the one who file the claim.
Maybe im wrong. But if they paid to fix the problem they own the system- refund should be on theirs name
And you can't get the money back from your mother in law???
Why did your mother in law file the claim when it was your water softener?
There's something wrong with this story.
The point is..person who filled the claim get money not person who ownes the system.
